PARICHARJA is a non-profit non-governmental organization (NGO) of Bangladesh (since 1993) registered with NGO Affairs Bureau (No. 1169) and Directorate, Social Welfare working in the field of social health with emphasis on Skin Diseases, Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) and HIV/AIDS.

PARICHARJA has the provision for receiving funds from national, international and government organizations in addition to income generation from its services. At present, it has two static centers operating in Mohammadpur and Begunbari.

Paricharja has worked in several projects, the area of work being mainly on:

• Healthcare facilities for garments factory workers
• Healthcare facilities for truckers
• Promotion for safer sex practices
• Fair treatment of HIV positive/AIDS patients
• Youth Friendly Health Services (YFHS)

In addition to providing low-cost specialized treatment, Paricharja also aims at providing general health care facilities among the society and disseminating the knowledge of health issues which are crucial for Bangladesh. To facilitate the projects, Paricharja has, on numerous occasions, organized awareness-raising sessions for college and university students on STD/HIV/AIDS. Paricharja has also taken condom promotion initiatives under different projects.
